Paint and sanding booths
I’m sorry – I couldn’t help the rhyme. But it’s also kind of true. Dan’s mom and I have started running a booth at this monthly antiques/vintage market (as if I didn’t already have enough on my plate). I’m not talking stuffy, great-grandma antiques, I’m talking fun, repurposed vintage finds for cheap!
Click to view slideshow. The only problem is I used to shop at this market to find great buys, so now to be selling at it means I need to find even better buys. It’s really quite challenging and fun. This is where the sleuth part of my title comes in. I have to constantly be on the hunt to find that next great gem. Enter daily lunch-hour trips to thrift stops and weekends spent scouring yard sales. When I’m not busy painting the bedroom in my house, I’m working on painting and sanding furniture for the sale. To be completely honest, for a little bit I was having regrets. Actually, they’re more accurately described as fears. Fears that we wouldn’t be able to pull it together, that we wouldn’t be able to find enough stuff. But when our booth finally came together (a mere 24 hours before the sale!), it looked amazing! And when we got that first paycheck in our hands after weekend #1, I knew I was hooked.

C....you really don't have to put how much you made on your other jobs...That just gives them the chance to pay you less on a future job where you could win more... Also you sound a little insecure in your resumee "To prove that I am capable of enduring the tasks provided and more than willing." Not a good sentence for an objective. You should not use words like "Basically" or "It would really be …

...straight over the top of the existing coat of paint? That is, without any sanding back. I recently resprayed a few sections of the car after filling in some dents and I am unhappy about the finish because the resprayed paint does not perfectly match the existing paint. I want to sell the car soon but this will be a major set back. Therefore, I was hoping it would be possible, and someone would be willing to drive …
Sanding gives the new paint a rough surface to "hold onto". Improper surface preparation will cause the paint to peel off.

I'm in the San Diego area and so far I only found one at Kearny Mesa Auto Paint (1) day rental @ $240.00. I cannot afford that much because I'll need to rent twice. (One for primer and another day for basecoat/clear coat as I will be needing to sand the primer.)
